The official pitch trailer for "Vincent and Sien". Step into the hauntingly beautiful world of Vincent and Sien, a gripping film that unveils the untold story of Vincent van Gogh through the eyes of the woman who loved him most—Clasina Maria Hoornik, better known as Sien. From her struggle for survival on the streets to the blossoming of an unexpected love with the tormented artist, this powerful narrative explores the highs and lows of their life together.
The book upon which this is based can be found on Gatecrasher Books or purchased from Amazon.
The official pitch trailer for "The Irish," an epic TV series that delves into the enchanting origins of Ireland. Prepare to be transported to a world where ancient myths come to life, and the battles between good and evil shape the destiny of a nation.
Traveller is a story of the conflict between the world of the Gypsy and the world of the Gorgio (settled people), as seen through the eyes of Owen McBride -- a half-breed with a Gypsy father and a Gorgio mother.
"IMAGINE" follows the story of Millie, a little girl who dreams of being a dancer, yet suffers from Niemann Pick Type C; an extremely rare, incurable disease which causes neurological decline and dementia. Only 800 people around the world suffer from this, the majority of whom are innocent children who were born with this horrible genetic condition.
Directed & Produced by Carl Mason. Screenplay by John F. McDonald. Cinematography by Jack Shelbourn.
"Clasina Maria Hoornik (Sien) has been erased from the canvas of Van Gogh's life, simply because she was a lowly prostitute. Yet Van Gogh loved her and wanted to marry her. But the sanctimonious Bourgeoise of 19th century Europe wouldn't stand for that. This drama series attempts to right that wrong by telling Sien's story - a story of love and loss - of desire and despair - of beauty and unbearable sacrifice - in fact, the greatest love story NEVER told."

Gabby Pereira is a woman on a quest, to find out who she really is. On a trip to Qatar, she discovers she only has two years left to live, so she decides to go on a journey of discovery. This takes her to Africa and, when she returns, her long-term partner, Valéria, has left her. Gabby attempts a failed suicide and ends up in counselling, where she meets Mia, a young psychologist. Mia offers Gabby a new lease of life – or, at least, what’s left of it. She teaches Gabby to dance the Zouk and the two women embark on a tempestuous and dangerous affair. But Mia is a free spirit and Gabby doesn’t want to go through the same trauma as when Valéria left her, so she decides to end the relationship. Before she can do this, Mia does it for her and, during the breakup, Gabby discovers that Mia has allowed compromising photos of her to be circulated. There’s a fight. Gabby accidentally kills Mia. Gabby goes off the rails after Mia’s death. She sets up a hedonistic commune on a farm in France and decides to live out her final year in a blaze of sex and alcohol. But she can’t get Mia out of her mind and the dead girl’s image haunts her. Gabby gives up the hedonism and goes on a pilgrimage to India and Nepal, following the old hippie trail, in an attempt to find some kind of meaning to her life before she dies. The trip is surreal and hallucinogenic and Gabby returns in a more peaceful state of mind. She resumes dancing and, as the prophesised date of her death, 4th July, approaches, she goes to America with her new girlfriend, Zooey. Will she die, or will the date pass by uneventfully? Tension mounts as the time gets closer. She goes to a 4th of July party with Zooey. They dance – faster and faster. Zooey becomes Mia in the swirling lambada. Light glints off a knife in Mia’s hand. SYNOPSIS:
When the man was found not guilty, it was very hard to take. I was heartbroken. I wanted to say, if it didn’t happen, then why do I remember it? Why do I remember shouting the word “stop!” Why do I remember his tongue down my throat? Why do I remember the evil in his eyes? Why do I remember his hands invading my body? Why do I remember the smell of him – the disgusting sounds he made when he was thrusting inside me? If it didn’t happen, why was I crying? Why did I try to get away? Why did I have cuts and bruises and horrible bite marks on my breasts and face? If it didn’t happen, why am I afraid and hurt and feeling defiled? If it didn’t happen, why am I the one with the nightmares and the horrible memory of it. If it didn’t happen, take it out of my head! In court, they said he never met me – then they said he must have met me somewhere else, other than the place where he raped me – maybe at college? But he wasn’t at college, at least not when I was there. He worked in a bar – they said I could have seen him there – that’s how I picked him out in the ID parade. He said, “I’m not saying it didn’t happen, I’m saying it wasn’t me”. But he was saying it didn’t happen. And it was him – I remember him, how could I forget him after .... They said I had a vendetta against him – why would I, if we’d never met? They said I might have met him at a party – they said everything they could to put doubts into the minds of the jury. They succeeded. But if it never happened, please take it out of my head. I don’t want to remember it. It haunts me!
________________________________
I was eighteen the first time I was raped. I was eighteen when I was serially and gang raped. I was eighteen when I was trafficked and given to many men, sometimes as many as ten in one night. It’s much harder for girls of my age to prove sexual abuse. A man who has sex with an under-age girl automatically commits a crime, whether it’s consensual or not. A man who rapes an eighteen-year-old will always say it was consensual and the burden of proof lies with the girl. We’re not believed. We’re degraded in court. We’re heartbroken. Some, like me, are survivors. For others there’s no hope and they end up as prostitutes, addicted to hard drugs. I was lucky, throughout my ordeal, I thought of my mother. It was her image in my mind that saved me – otherwise I’d be dead now. This is for the heartbroken. And their mothers.
